The Seam Phantom fits onto an angle grinder/polisher and allows precise, in-and-out adjustment of the polishing wheel to accurately dress edges to produce a nearly invisible seam. The entire process takes about 7 to 10 minutes per side or 15 to 20 minutes per full seam. It can also be used to correct out-of-square or rough saw cuts.
The tool gives fabricators the ability to improve their products at asignificantly less cost than other alternatives available in the industry, Bussell said. “A lot of times, the installers who get nice seams probably have a CNC machine or have spent a great deal of money on equipment. This is within the reach of every shop to do a seam that can hardly be noticed. It’s a game changer.”
The Seam Phantom gives shops a chance to further distinguish themselves from competitors, Bussell said. “Tell the customer to ask the competition to show them the seam they will be installing. What is it going to look like? I’d use that to set myself apart. It can change the whole look of a countertop.”
